Old school R&B fans have been getting fed a lot this past week! The Soul Train Awards recently aired with performances by some of the genre’s most respected artists. The all-female quartet Xscape was honored with the Lady of Soul Award while Chante Moore gave her electric rendition of “Love’s Taken Over”.
In an exclusive interview with TMZ while traveling through LAX, singer Bobby Brown revealed that R&B supergroup New Edition will begin their next world tour in March. The group made their debut 40 years ago and topped the charts with hits like “Candy Girl,” “Can You Stand the Rain,” and “Crucial”.
This tour will feature the entire original lineup, and fans can expect that the group’s chemistry will be the same as it was years ago. Before sharing his opinion on the new Whitney Houston biopic he assured the reporter that the show will be great even though the bandmates have moved on to separate paths:
“We have a brotherhood that’s probably unstoppable. We take pride in what we do. New Edition is forever.”
